Our April 17th meeting included a very special guest, our past Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club President, Sandy Smith! Sandy has been in the SKA tournaments, is a kingfish tournament pioneer, a 2011 Bahamas Billfish Champion, and all-time record holder for most release points. He is a wealth of knowledge in fishing our local waters. He is a fisher of men. He was an integral reason for the Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club reef building projects and past club tournaments. He will speak on all aspects of fishing and our club history.
As always, we will offer food and drinks with donations appreciated. 50/50 will be available and we expect to have a big pot! We also will have door prizes!
Some of our fund raising and donations are earmarked for the IRSC Scholarship award.
Our club enjoys giving back to the community. Every year our club donates $1,000 for a scholarship to a student in the field of marine biology.
