The Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club, with the help of our Conservation Committee and Sandy Smith put together a successful Summer Sailfish Tournament. 15 boats caught and released 35 sailfish, with 2 teams landing 6 each. Congratulations are in order for 3rd place-The Floridian (Captain Glen Cameron), 2nd Place Sundance (Captain Scott Lambeth), and 1st place-Hittin Bottom (Captain Garret Yarbrough)!
In addition, we reached our goal for raising funds of $13,000 (!!!!!) to complete a survey in order to create an artificial reef in the area of the former 10A buoy.
